One World - One Environment

We only have one planet but here in the UK we live as if we had the resources of 3 or 4 planets to sustain us. We are living in debt - using up the Earth's resources faster and faster, what will be left for our children and grandchildren.  If we are using 3 times our fair share of resources - who is going without?

The One World project focuses on our impact on the planet.  The project has been active for a number of years and several thousand young people have measured their eco-footprint and explored how they can reduce their negative impact on Earth's resource.

Through the iEARN International network the One World project is running in countries as diverse as Mali and the USA.  Using the International forums learners can compare their footprint with those of people in very different cultures.  This helps them to focus on the huge inequalities that exist.  If you are a member of iEARN you can visit the forum - Click Here
